GMC Repair: 96 Savanna van 1500, intake manifold, gasket

It appears my van has water leaking from the intake manifold.  
I have replaced manifolds on 350 trucks on older carb models, but replacing the gasket on this van looks like a major job.
Is this a common problem for this year (96) 350?
Is there a better gasket to use?
What is the best way to attack this monster in a van?

ANS: PATIENCE.

It is quite a task in a van, Which is why I don't own one. However, if you take your time, Make drawings or take pictures of what goes where BEFORE you take things apart, You should NOT have any problems.

I have not had more than probably 4 or 5 times that this has happened.
