Alfa Romeo Repair: Alfa 156 Twin Spark Belt Tensioner, right angle drill, allen bolt

Question
I have a 1998 2.0 litre twin spark 156. The bolt holding the FEAD belt tensioner sheared off whilst driving. I have the tensioner and most of the bolt, thanks to the large undertray!
How do I get access to the front of the block to get the rest of the bolt out? Do I have to drop the engine out? If so, how is the best way to approach this? Many thanks

Answer
I am in Calif. No access to that model. However, these situations call for a right angle drill and a mechanics length bit to drill into the bolt deep enough for an extractor to be used.  Use an allen bolt as a replacement (they are by definition a hardened bolt).
