American Motors: smoking car, smoking car, filter change

My car smokes really bad lately.If I set for any length of time (red light,in traffic etc.)it will start smoking so bad that it will fill the car with smoke if the windows are down.I had my oil changed about three months ago and the smoke started around then and has just gotten worse.What can I do and what do I need to look for when contacting a mechanic about this problem.My car is a 1993 Lebaron.

I have decided to resurrect this question and answer it.  It oculd be that the mechanic put the wrong oil in the car and you need to change the filter & the oil again and make sure that you get the right oil.  The filter also could be blocked.  The would need a filter change. Check for Oil Pressure, if any of these don't work, please write back with oil pressure reading and I will try to help more.
