Audio Systems: sony vcr, sony vcr, sony slv

hi there... recently purchased a sony vcr(SLV-N55) i bought it from a thrift store simply because the tuner on my tv went out and wanted to use the tuner on the vcr. i have no manual and im using a GE universal remote. i can use the remote to control the vcr however i cannot figure out how to switch the input from tv to vcr. any ideas??? model # of the remote appears to be 24944

The tv/video button is on the upper left of the remote control usually.  But with your GE universal you may find it anywhere.

The manual for the SLV-N55 can be found by googling for it.  I downloaded it from the Amazon page for this model and it is very thorough in the setting and controls.

If your remote does not have the right buttons for tv/video you may need another remote control.
