Audio Systems: Car Radio Problem, mitsubishi eclipse, radio problem

i have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse and i'm pretty sure its the original radio. the radio only comes in on one station but not for long and then it goes out and makes a bullhorn like noise or it scrambles and its just like static. is my radio just toast or can i fix it? i dont understand why it will work on that one station for a while and then just go out, like its not completly broken. is it a loose wire?

The problem may be with the tuner module or in the tuning voltage supply line. When the one station does come in, is it displaying the correct station frequency?, Also please give me the complete model number of your stereo. You will need to pull the stereo out of the dash to see the sticker with the model number on it. To be sure you do give the model number give me all the numbers off the sticker.
