Audio Systems: Putting a different radio in a 1992 Chevy Lumina, chevy lumina, gm car

We put a junk yard radio in my sons car. The radio works fine but the dash lights stay on all the time.  Any idea what the problem is, and what to do about it?

 if the unit was for the specific vehicle , meaning you pulled the junk yard unit from a 90's lumina or other Gm car in that year range , everything should have plugged back up to the factory harness connector, now if you clipped the plug and made your own harness this is where you might have ran into some problems .. here is a link that should help you re code / re wire your wiring and get things fixed up .. www.streetdreams.com/wires .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let m eknow
