Audio Systems: 95 nissan max(bose system), nissan maxima, cd player

Question
I have a '95 nissan maxima with a bose system. When I try to load the disc into the cd player it doesn't take but the green light comes on.Then it reads CD ERR. I know there isn't a cd stuck in there because I forcefully took it out after it wouldn't eject.  
Also the numbers blink out on the reader but I think it may be an open circuit.
Can it be fixed or do I need to buy another cd player? If so then what's the best brand that won't leave me broke.

Hello Jayson,
The least costly way is to have your stereo repaired rather then purchasing a new aftermarket unit. Something as simple as a broken gear could be the problem, also defective solder connections making the display go off.
