Audi Repair: 1999 vw passat 1.8L, vw passat, passat

I have a bad tcm in my passat, part #8D0 927 156 CL.  I have located a tcm from another 1999 passat, part #8D0 907 557 P.

I would like to know what the difference between the two modules is, and whether the latter will function properly in place of the original.

You would need to cross reference the part numbers at the dealership.  SOmetimes part numbers are superceded, so that a different number has the same functionality.  However usually the fact that the nummbers are different, means different application...  Let me know,  Jan
