Cadillac Repair: misfire, head gasket problem, head bolts

Question
QUESTION: 1993 deville 125k last tune up 65k car is in great shape and always maintained as far as i know. car ran great until last week when it started to miss at idle and low speeds.under full acceleration it runs alot better but still a little rough. some times when your cruising it will smooth out on its own for maybe twwo to three seconds and then miss again. today i changed the cap and rotor but no luck. somebody suggested maybe a bad spark wire so i ran the car in the dark but dont see any arcing. so i would like to change the plugs and wires but the back four look like a nightmare to get to. any suggestions how to change them out. by the way no check engine light and no codes came up.

ANSWER: 99% of all cases such as yours, This engine has stripped head bolts and I would STRONGLY suggest installing a new or rebuilt engine.

QUESTION: obviously you dont know much about 93 devilles. how in earth does a miss translate into stripped head bolts? i got the back four plugs and wires out and replaced and the car runs perfect!! you better brush up on your expertise.

Answer
You stated that you maintained the vehicle. If the spark plugs and wires were NEVER replaced I do NOT call that GOOD MAINTENANCE.   However, You will still encounter the head gasket problem later on.

All I can go by is what the owner tells me and you said the vehicle was WELL MAINTAINED. Worn out spark plugs and wires are NOT what I call as being WELL MAINTAINED.
