Cadillac Repair: 1996 cadillac deville concours, cadillac deville, word history

I have a 1996 Cadillac Deville Concours. One day I was driving and all of a sudden a "service fuel system light comes on" and now my car is running very hard , wont pick up speed , Trans shifts hard etc. I changed the fuel filter but its still doing the same thing!   What should i do?

Check the computers for diagnostic CODES via:

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

On your fuel data display CODES in the form of LETTERS/NUMBERS will appear along with the word HISTORY or CURRENT with each code that displays.

Write them all down EXACTLY as they display and when they stop displaying you will see PCM?


Turn OFF ignition.
