Question -
changed the distributor cap and coil..forgot to install ground under the coil. Started car and dash went haywired..speedom. jumped back and forth, also speed (I was in park). Blew the altenator so I changed it. Also changed the distrib. module and coil. Car runs fine but options not set keeps coming up.
Answer -
Is your speedometer and other instrumentation reading correctly ?. Is the radio showing the correct time ?.
Does anything on the dash look odd ?.
NOTE: Please e-mail me with your question and answers and I will get back to you this evening. speed,radio& clock are fine, tack is good. information button shows no engine temp or battery info. Store/recall isn't working, nor is display but trip set works. Options Not Set keeps popping up
AnswerPerform this Test for codes:
1. Ignition ON, Engine oFF.
2. Simultaneously push and hold for 2 seconds the OFF and WARMER buttons on the display panel.
3. Write down ALL the letters and numbers that appear and how m,any times they appear until the display stops and indicates .7.0.
4. Turn ignition OFF.
5. let me know what codes you get
