Chrysler Repair: 98 sebring a/c not working, chrysler sebring, sebring lx

Question
The fan on my 1998 chrysler sebring lx is not blowing when i turn the air on. if i have the vent open to the air outside then i can feel the a/c working; it will blow cool and hot air. if the vent is closed then the a/c will not work at all.

Answer
From the description it sound more like what you're feeling is the air from outside the car moving through the dash as designed in the fresh-air mode and you truly have no blower motor activity in recirculate nor fresh air mode.

You could have any of the following: A bad blower motor, a blown fuse (Frequently caused by the blower motor) or a bad control head.  Without doing a little work with a test light then there's really no way of knowing which it is.

Do you have access to a test light or multimeter?
