Ford Repair: My 1997 f 150 4x4, sequence three, interior light

I just started to have trouble with my interior light. after opening the door the light would go on as normal then about 30 seconds the lightly would start to blink and the door ajar would flash and if I went to use the power windows or the power seat the light would go dim. I also notice that when I am driving and started to apply the break to stop the interior light would come on, do you have an answer for me. Someone said to check for a bad ground I did check the ground from battery to the fire wall and the block.

did it start this after a rain or washing the truck-first take some wd40 and spray liberally in door latch then open and close door several times-repeat this sequence three or four times both doors-the door ajar/dome switch is located on door latch inside door panel sometimes dust and grit sticks to the grease that is on the switch and it will stick.good luck
