Ford Repair: vent system control, head gasket, vent system

hi, i had my head gasket changed on my 1997 windtstar gl (3,8 liters)since that i had many problems and one that i cant solve is this one

controls for changing a/c and fan from defrost to panel to floor stop responding.

after taking apart every panel and looking for the problem the source seems to be that there is no vaccuum in the system that controils the vent doors. i can activate them manually but like i said no succion coming from any tubes that activates the controls. from the inside seems to be no damaged tubes from the motor compartment i dont know where to look can you tell me where the main vaccuum hose hook up? or correct me if im wrong in my troubleshoot.


all electrical systems fuses and blower motors a/c  work fine

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It sounds like when the mechanic did the head gasket job he didn't hook up the line for the vacuum to the interior cabin. Look around the fire wall as best you can and see if you are able to locate it and reconnect it.
