Honda Repair: clutch job 2000 Honda accord 4cyl, clutch disc, dealer quality

Question
What is a fair price to pay for labor for this job? Is it necessary to replace anything other than the pressure plate, disc and throwout bearing? I am assuming that the flywheel is in good shape. Is there a pilot bearing to replace and should I? Are aftermarket parts ok to use or is there a wide variance in parts quality? necessary to replace master and/or slave cylinder if there is o leakage? thanks

Answer
Hi Richard, I have seen clutch jobs as cheap as $200 up to $500 to $600. The Pilot bearing should be replaced. Along with the Clutch disc, Pressure plate, and Throw out bearing. The Flywheel should be removed and taken to a qualified shop that will resurface the Flywheel to specification. Yes, it is ok to use Aftermarket parts while R   R the clutch. (I would recommend the bearings should be purchased from dealer.) Quality of parts is little to no difference. You can even purchase a performance option if you wanted too. I would not replace the Slave cylinder unless noticeable leakage. I hope this helps you...
