Honda Repair: 98 Accord instrument panel back lights and parking lights out, check fuse, light fuse

Question
I have a '98 accord. I don't think it's connected to my current problem, but last week I had an O2 sensor replaced in order to get it inspected. Yesterday when my wife had it inspected, the mechanic told her the parking lights didn't work. Last night when I drove it I noticed the instrument panel back lights weren't working. I looked to see if the brightness adjustment was turned down and that didn't work either. I got out the owner's manual and checked the fuse for the instrument panel lights and it wasn't blown. You have any suggestions?

Thanks,
JM

Answer
Sounds like you blew the tail light fuse.  They are both on the same fuse.  The dash lights going out are the first indication that the taillights are not working.  Check fuse #10 (10Amp) in the pass side fuse box.  You might want to look at the bulbs and make sure that you don't have a bad bulb causing the fuse to blow.  Also make sure if you have a hitch that the wire harness for this isn't causing the fuse to blow.
