Isuzu Repair: 91 Isuzu Rodeo wont start when hot, engine wiring harness, engine cranks

Question
I am at a loss. I have a 91 Isuzu trooper 2.6 4cly with 120K on it. When cold the truck starts right up and runs great. It will continue running until I turn it off. Now once hot the engine won’t start again until I let it cool about 2 hours. At the same time this started my oil light came on. The oil level was fine but I changed the oil just the same. I have both an oil idiot light as well as a gauge the gauge reads good oil pressure. Here are the steps I have taken to fix this problem.
1. Replace the oil sending unit for the gauge (light stills stays on)
2. Replaced O2 sensor
3. Replaced the coolant temp sensor
4. Replaced the cap and rotor
5. Replaced the fuel pump
6. Replaced the fuel filter

I have no idea what else to look for.

Answer
Well Harold. It seems as if you spent alot of uneccesary money. On most G.M engines, they did not put a heat shield on the starter to cover the starter solenoid and starter ignition wires. This caused a no start condtition. While the engine running, it heats up that solenoid, and the wires that hook up to it. It gets so hot that no electricity is allowed to flow thru your wires, causing a no-start condition. But after awhile, they both cool down, and wala! The engine cranks over fine. Also check for any loose engine wiring harness connections, grounds or starter relay as well. Let me know if that works please.
