Land Rover Repair: M & S Warning on Dash of 2003 LR Discovery SE7, land rover discovery, 2003 land rover discovery

The Battery seems to be going bad and After Jump Starting My 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE7 the M (Manual) and S (Sport) Indicators Started Flashing on the Dash and the Transmission is no longer shifting gears. What does this mean?

Answer
the computers in LR's are sensitive to low voltages, a dying/dead battery can wreak havoc with them.  The transmission computer seems to be the first one to act up most times.  Replace the battery and the issue should go away.  

If it does not there may be a dying sensor or faulty wiring/connectors somewhere in the circuit.
