Land Rover Repair: radio code flashing in Discovery, radio code, security cards

Question
hi - did repair work on my 1994 discovery and had to disconnect power. now trying to get the radio working again. I have 5 radio security cards (I'm not the original owner) and don't know which one is the right code to enter. Only one number results in the "CODE" flashing. How EXACTLY should the code be entered? (I assumed I just pressed the numbers on the radio keys to enter the code. when I do, no number shows on the display). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kim

Answer
You press the code in one button at a time, using the radio presets.  You will have 3 chances to enter a correct code.  If you put in the right code the radio will just come on.  A wrong code will get the "beep"

If it beeps after 1 or 2 presses of the buttons you've got to walk away for 1.5 hours, leaving the radio on, to let it reinitialize itself, after which you will have three more chances and you'll be locked out again.

It sounds like that's where you are now, so begin by turning the radio on and waiting.

They have the 3-code-and-wait thing to prevent people from stealing radios and punching nubers till they work.
