Hi Gary,

I've been told that the low rev's could be a problem with the fuel regulator.  Make sure it has not been hampered or fouled up.  Sometimes it can be stuck the wrong way around than normal and therefore only high fuel pressure would be working.

Also, if no errors show up on the testbook, its most of than due to mechanical problems rather than sensor related.  The above problem with the fuel regulator would fit this theory.

Best of luck,

NB:  I'll pass on more information as soon as I get it.  Meanwhile, if you have your Disco serviced, please let me know what the resolution is so that I can pass it on to other TD5 owners.  Thanks.

Hi Gary,

here are some websites that might help you out:

www.disco2.com :  check out td5 diesel pages

www.disco.org : good source for various problems

http://www.landroverworld.co.uk :  another good resource but you pay for answers.

Meanwhile, let me ask around and I'll get back to you.  I'll try to hook up with a fellow Td5 owner who had the same problem.

Back soon,

JohnMc
