Lincoln/Mercury Repair: MERC TRACER IDLE OH BOY, fuel pump filter, spark plug wire

HELLO DINGER, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME ??????
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FOR OVER A WEEK.1998 MERC TRACER VERY POOR IDLE,REPLACED ALL VACUUM LINES,FUEL PUMP/FILTER,COMPLETE TUNE UP PLUGS WIRES,PCV VALVE,EGR VALVE,AIR FILTER,CLEANED BATTERY TERMINALS AND STILL IDLES POORLY.MY LOCAL COTTMAN TRANSMISSION GUY ADRESSES ME BY NAME NOW I HAVE BEEN THERE SO MUCH.JUST HAD IT SCANNED NO ERROR CODES AND NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.HOT OR COLD STILL IDLES POOR.I AM ALMOST TO THE POINT OF TAKING YOUR SUGGESTION OF THE GALLON OF GAS AND A MATCH.PLEASE RESPOND BEFORE I DO SOMETHING STUPID....THANKS BUDDY......PHIL

I'm sorry Phil,

I have been so busy at work solving those issues that I did forgot. I will talk to the crew at our 8am meeting.

Ok, here is what we came up with... Find a very high cliff... No Wait, The boys feel that either there is a spark plug wire crossed, a bad IAC motor (Intake Air Control) or compression problem. None of these will send a code. The IAC will if it's shorted, but won't if it is just a little wacked. How is the performance? Does it run good, just idles like crap?
