Motorcycle Repair: engine ping, harley dealer, pcll

I own an 05 FLHTCI with SE Stage 1 pipes, breather,& HD download. no problem. this season, I went to the S&S gear drive primary with Andrew's 21g cams. now I have excessive pinging when the engine is loaded. I'm leaning toward a PCII usb. one Harley dealer swears by them. most of the Harley shops that I've talked to say they cause nothing but problems (throwing engine codes, ect). they are all pushing the Harley Super Tuner SERT. I need some solid advise. Len

Personnally, I dont use either one. I reprogram the ECM that is on the bike. Either one you are talking about is a good unit and I havent heard of alot of problems with the PCll. the dealers push the Super Tuner because, one its a Harley procuct, and two, it costs more around here. You could use either one, but I would see which one I get the best deal on
