Motorcycle Repair: 1974 cb450 ignition coils, honda 450, cb450

Question
I read an earlier post to honda 450's and coils. I have a 1974 cb450 I am working on, and one of the plug wires broke, and i need to find a set of replacements. Can I use the dayton coils and what specs. do they need to have. Does it matter as to which wire blue/top, black/bottom, goes onto which screw on the new replacements?

Answer
Any 12 volt motorcycle coil with about 4-5 ohms
resistance between the blue (contact points)wire
and the black wire should work okay.
The blue wire should go to the negative
post on the new set, black to the positive side of the new coil. The yellow wire goes to negative on the new coil and again the black is positive.
The yellow and blue wires lead to your contact points.
and power is applied to the other wires when running.
