Motorcycle Repair: natural switch, kawasaki 750, sensor switch

I turn key on have head lights and firing but no naturel lite. so bike wont start. the bike is a 82 spectra kawasaki 750 where is the switch or wire located a picture would be great to get naturel working.or how i can bypass to check it. Thanks JOHN T  djjohnt@excite.com

Hi John,

Check continutiy of the neutral light bulb to see if it is blown.

If you don't have a VOM (multi-meter), switch the neutral bulb with the oil or stop light bulb and see itf it works.

Is the shifter lever in neutral? If not, the neutral indicator light will not illuminate.

Test the neutral sensor switch for proper operation. Look under the engine case near the counter shaft sprocket.

I doubt the neutral light not lighting will prevent the engine from starting and running.

You'll have to buy the service manual to learn about troubleshooting the problem and finding where the switches are located.
