Nissan Repair: 95 nissan xe king cab - v6, mass airflow sensor, intake hose

Question
Having problem with my 95 nissan.  It started as a rough idle.  If I let it run awhile it was fine.  I took it in and the mechanic replaced, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, and distributor.  Now it runs like crap. It is fine now that it's cold until it warms up, then it starts.  It's like it's not getting gas or something.  Always feels like it's stalling out but never does.  When taking off I have to about floor the pedal and it still about stalls until it really catches and then it's o.k. as long as you keep it floored.  Once I get up to speed I have to either keep going faster and slow down or pump the gas pedal.  I don't know why but when the gas pedal is held just right at a certain point it works o.k.  I found that pumping the gas is the best solution for now.

Seeing that it runs fine when the engine is cold, I figured that's when the idle is high and maybe if I adjust it a bit it may work?  How do I adjust this?  Or maybe that's not the answer.  Hopefully I have explained the situation in enough detail.  If you need more let me know.

Answer
Shawn,

Usually, it is fire or fuel that is the problem.  Since you had a major tuneup I would be looking at things that were done.  A cracked sparkplug might be one issue.  The almost stalling would lead me to think the mass airflow sensor is screwing up or the intake hose is cracked or has a leak letting unmetered air enter the system.  Check out these things and let me know.
