Question

Can the automatic transmission be removed from A 95 pathfinder without removing the emgine, if so how?(The back of the oil pan is right in front of the bell housing cover on a 4 wheel drive)

Yes, it is difficult but it can be done.  Remove the brace and then the cover and you can get to the torque converter bolts.  I like to drop the crossmember and lean the back down to make it easier to get to the top bolts.  Also, use a really long extension.
