Pontiac Repair: sunfire fuel pump, grey power, fuel pump

my sunfire wont start their is a black wire goin from the fuel pump going to the trunk then the rest are going to the front of the car any idea what that one wire goes to

If it's a black wire chances are it's the ground wire for the pump?? with out seeing it I can't tell you. The fuel pump wires are grey (power) and Black (ground) they should all be in the same harness and not running into the trunk so that tells me someone has been in they playing around before this issue occuded.
