RV Repair: Battery disconnection, radio installation

Question
I purchased a new dash CD player and was hooking it up.  I ran a test to make sure everything worked properly.  The CD player was playing and radio too.  Then I thought I turned the battery off by the Battery disconnection.  I unhooked everything to tape the wires and put the radio in the dash neatly.  I went to turn on the CD player and nothing worked.  I tried several times and nothing.  Then I noticed the refrigerator would not turn on, the outside radio or the carbon monoxide reader does not work.  I also realized the mater auxiliary switch would not disconnect the battery.  It seems as if I blew a fuse but I am confused why the I cannot disconnect the battery.  The lights, water pump and water heater all work.  The control panel works telling how much juice is in the battery.  Do you have any ideas what caused this?

Answer
when you where taping up everything could a wire have gotten crossed up and is causing a short? i would go in a take the radio out and disconnect all the wires and see if it starts working again. Most of the time that is all it is. If there is a crossed wire it will do what you are seeing. So pull it out, see if the battery will work again, if so reinstall carefully.

Second problem that i just thought of. You said that this is a dash radio that means that it doent run off the camper batterys but it runs from the battery under the hood, and there is no disconnet for that. consider starting with the fuse under the dash for the radio it should be a 10a fuse located near the steering column. hope this helps
