Saab Repair: Shifter wont engage will engine running., clutch disc, clutch pedal

Question
Hi Walter,
I just bought a 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo, 5 spd from a local auction. I haven't had a chance to fully evaluate the car, but here is the main problem. The gearshift lever seems to go thru the gears fine when the vehicle is not running. The clutch pedal even seems to operate. When the vehicle is started the clutch won't engage and you can't shift the gears. Just by reading on the web, sounds like the master cylinder may be bad. The brake fluid is fine. Hoping the clutch is not bad. Nice car otherwise.

Answer
Sometimes, when the car is withot running for some time, the clutch disc stuck with the flywheel or the pressure plate.
Call me for more directions.
There is a way how to fix that, but I need to tell you by phone, because is dangerous if you do not understand and follow the directions.
