Saab Repair: 1989 saab900 turbo, walter wong, speaker grille

i just bought a 1989 5 speed manual saab turbo and the speedometer is not working and the mileage counter is not running ,any help is great. thanks

Answer
Remove the speaker grille, then you can check at the back of the speedometer.
Be sure the cable is connected, take the car for a ride and see if is OK.
If is not OK, then you need to check at the tranny gear.
