Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro recycler personal pace mower 20017, transmission pulley, personal pace

Question
i read a previous answer regarding that the lawnmower is now hard to push. i started to take apart the transmission to check the belt and pulley. unfortunatly i can't get my hand or tool in there to tighten pulley nut. my question is do i need to take off the peice that holds on the wheels in order to get to the pulley? any input will be appreciated .

Answer
Hello Ken:

Usually the Transmission Assembly has to be Removed from the Mower to Tighten the Transmission Pulley Nut. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers (20017) and Click Search. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
