I need a starter for my JD. Dealer said costed was 650.00. where could I find one used.

The reason the starter cost 650.00 is because you don't need a starter.
You might need a solenoid.
By the way you need to find a REPUTABLE dealer. Deeres list price for this starter is 380.00 dealer cost is only 228.00
