Tractor Repair: Farmall 95 right brake, piston seals, case ih dealer

Question
Have fading (soft pedal) right brake on Farmall 95. Left brake pushed by itself is ok. When both right and left are locked together, have fading (soft pedal) on both. What is causing this? Tractor only has about 175 hours on it.

Answer
There is an equalizer valve in the master cylinders so that if both pedals are pushed together, the pedals will be the same height and apply both brakes at exactly the same time.  If one brake has air or a leak in the system, it will affect both brakes when they are applied together.  First check the brake oil to make sure it is full, open the bleeder on top of the right rear axle and bleed the right brake.  If this doesn't help, then the right master cylinder may have an internal problem.  If the brake reservoir won't stay full during normal tractor operation, then the brake piston seals are leaking.  Only use the correct brake oil which is greenish colored.  It is available from a Case IH dealer.  Do not use any other oil and do not use DOT brake fluid.
