Volvo Repair: brake/rotor questions, brake rotor, inch diameter

Question
Dear Regis,
Thanks for your help. I have a 98 S70 T-5, 110k. Pulled the front wheel today to inspect pads, and rotors will need to be replaced as well. I had dealership do the last brake job several years back, but would like to save a little labor $ by doing it myself this time. It appears that I have the 11 inch diameter rotors, but after pulling the caliper, I didn't want to go too far because not sure what to do about the caliper mounting bracket that surrounds the rotor once the caliper is removed. Can you advise...does this bracket need to be removed, and if so, is it the two obvious bolts on the back side? Also, is the rotor fastened to the hub or do I just need to free it up to remove?
I'm looking at aftermarket rotors and pads from IPD...any concerns from what you have observed?
Lastly, the fuel filter is due for replacement. Other than relieving system pressure, anything else to consider?
Thanks so much.
Kevin

Answer
yes the caliper mounting plate just has the 2 screws and the rotor has one 10mm bolt holding it on then it will hit loose with a hammer.I have not used any aftermarket parts so I DO NOT KNOW OF HOW WELL THEY ARE i HEAR iPD STUF IS GOOd the fuel fliter hoses just pull back on the plastic clips on the hose then it will pull off the filter.
