Volvo Repair: Service Light, instrument cluster, linkage

Question
The service light recently came on at 228,000 miles in my son's 1992 240GL.The car had a tune-up within the last two weeks.
How can this be reset?

Answer
the lower right corner of the instrument cluster glass is a small hole with a black button in the hole.you will need to press this button with something that will fit in the hole.you may need to pres fairly hard and maybe a few times they can be stiff sometimes.if this does not work then the button is broken and it will need to be done from behind the cluster from under the dashboard.this button attaches to a linkage which hits another black lever on the back of the cluster.you would need to reach up and push this lever which is not easy.
