Buick/Olds: CAR NOT STARTING, spark plug wires, crank sensor

Question
94 BUICK 3800 ENGINE

I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT.
SHORTLY AFTER, THE ENGINE WOULD DIE AND AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR IT WOULD RESTART. BUT NOW IT WILL
NOT START AT ALL. FUEL IS GETTING TO THE FUEL INJECTORS. I PULLED ONE OF THE SPARK PLUG WIRES
THERE IS NO SPARK WHEN CRANKING THE ENGINE
WHAT SHOULD I START CHECKING FOR ?

THANKS,
JOHN

Answer
Check to see if you have any injector pulse when cranking. Unplug an injector and jump across the terminals with a test light or a bulb(194 side marker bulbs work great). Try this on a couple of injectors.
If you have no spark AND no injector pulse, it is probably the crank sensor.
If you have no spark but you DO have injector pulse, it is probably the ignition module.
