-----Question-----
I have a 1962 Chevy Impala 327 V8. Problem is: The engine starts, runs for anywhere 2 mins to 5 mins then just shuts off. All interior lights go out, no head lights or dash lights. I let the car sit, and after 1 min to 5 mins the lights come back on and it starts back up. I had the battery checked twice (load condition test). I have checked all wiring and connections. What would make it just shut off? Like just pulling the positive cable off. Help...

It might be the voltage reg. or genarator.

Is the voltage reg. where all the power is sent to the cars wiring? ie...lights, heater motor, wipers. I know the stater receives direct cable power

; the volt. reg.  regulates the voltage and sends it out to where it has to go to. you can get a kit to turn it into a altanator if you wanted to. your volt. reg. might be bad. have you checked the voltage to see the output of the genarator it should be 13+  if it is than your reg. might be going. also check the battery terms.
