Ford: Vehicle Storage, coolant system, vehicle storage

I will be leaving my Ford Explorer (1995) unused for several months.Are there any specials precautions I should follow before leaving it ?

Yes... first and foremost... put some fuel stabeliser in the tank and run it to get it through the fuel system... make sure your coolant system is topped off with good antifreeze.. and also make sure that your washer fluid is full with washer fluid (Not just water...washer fluid has preservitives and anti freeze in it...) other than that you might want to pit a battery tender on it to keep the battery charged...
