Mitsubishi: Eclipse wont start, crank sensor, eclipse gt

Question
QUESTION: My 2000 Eclipse GT (3.0L) wont start, have changed the Crank sensor and now the Ignition Switch...same problem..I found that when turning the key to start the car the "Check Engine" light was not lit..I switched the ign switch repeatedly and all of a sudden the light lit up and the car started..this happens regularly...and using this procedure works. Where do I go now to remedy this???
Thanks for any help.....Ted

ANSWER: One of two things Is the switch correctly installed.. Do you have alot of keys or key chains on your key ring, your key tumbler may be wore out..

QUESTION: Having just replaced the Ignition switch, another gremlin showed up...The "SRS" light remains lit ... does not go off
after starting the engine...good grief...any help there???
         Tnx again...Ted

Answer
you may need to get that checked your "SRS" aka airbag light may be on due to a malfunction in the module or a wire may have been wiggled by accident in the steering wheel, for your safety (during an accident) I would take it to a dealer.. diagnostics normally run about 87.50 but may differ where you are..Just to verify that the airbags are working properly.. If you are first owner some components maybe under warranty 5/60 first owner only..
