Toyota: Hiace Fuel Sender, toyota service manual, toyota hiace commuter

Hi David,

I have a Toyota Hiace Commuter Van 1987 2.2L and has a fuel gauge that does not operate, I am thinking that the fuel sender may be faulty but do not know how to find the actual sender in order to replace it if in fact it is the problem?

John, the sender should be on the fuel pump assembly.  Your looking for the "fuel sender guage" on the fuel pump bracket.  Your best bet is to find a Toyota Service Manual for your car to know EXACTLY what to look for if you are unsure what it looks like on the fuel pump assembly.
