Tips on Buying Cars: resolving complaints, mazda dealership, automobile dealership

Question
Mr. Paulsen,
My husband and I had a very bad experience with an automobile dealership.
A Mazda dealership.
Contracts were signed "but" we feel that are concerns / complaints are being
ignored. Our concerns are about the way they handled the loan process and
extra charges that came up during and after we signed that we were not
made aware of before hand.
The General Manager was indifferent, rude and condensending with regard to
our complaints etc. His attitude was -- you bought the cars, the deal is done
and I dont have to talk to you anymore.
Question:
Where do we go from here towards warning others of thier business tactics.
Should we contact Mazda, should we contact the bank that approved the loan
and let them know etc. Is there anybody higher than the GM. This dealership
has three locations so perhaps their is someone above him "but" how do we
get his name and where to contact that person / owner. The dealership is
avoiding our asking to speak to someone higher up.

We dont know where to turn and we would really "appreciate" your input.
Thanks for taking time !!!!

Sad & frustrated
Sincerely,
Karen

Answer
I can see you got issues and I wish i knew more detail to provide a proper answer.

Here are some things you can do, file a complaint with the BBB in your area. the letter will then be on file againt dealership.
Contact customer service Mazda  along with the lender and state your complaint in writing.

How can you deal with the GM and not even get his name ?.
Simple phone the dealership and ask for his name and of the dealer principal or name of group that owns these dealerships and make contact from there.

Should you want more input contact me with further details through my website   http://www.usedcartips.org/  that way it will be private and not splattered all over the Internet.
