Tips on Buying Cars: Vehicle Question, 2008 chrysler pacifica, chrysler pacifica

Hi Danny,

I am looking at two cars and need an opinion. Both are higher mileage. I am looking at a 2008 Volvo S40 2.4I 58,028 miles and a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica Touring 49,037 miles. Both of these are at dealers.

I love both of these in theory, but am concerned about the higher miles. Any opinion that you might have about one or both would be great. Just looking for input such as reliability.

You can go to edmunds.com and read consumer reveiws. I like both cars and have seen both cars with well over 100k miles on them. The Volvo is going to be a more expensive car to maintain, just about everything on the car is going to be dealer part only. The Pacifica maintenence cost will be lower. If you buy an extended warranty then no worries. Both cars have very good reveiws, about equal. Hope this helps
