Tips on Buying Cars: Short term solution, company car, sales jobs

Question
I was laid off from a sales jobs that provided me a company car.  I have to turn the car in in two weeks.  I plan to get a similar job in the next few months that would most likely provide a car.  What is the best (most economical) way to get a car for a few months until I can secure another job?  Purchase, lease, etc.
Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hey Jerry

Lease is out of the question, the term is to short.

You have two choice.
(1) Check to see if there is a " rent a wreck " in your area, and compare cost with solution #2

(2) Buy a beater $1500 to $2000, it's risky unless you really know what your doing, there are two link on my website I would like for you to read if you decide to take this avenue    http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html   and    http://www.usedcartips.org/TENTHOU.html , if you decide to buy run it buy me with details before you do to make sure you get valid value for your bucks, if you buy you will recover some investment when you land another company car.
