How to Replace the Rear Signal Lights in a Chrysler Sebring

Keeping your Chrysler Sebring's rear signal lights in working order is extremely important. If one stops functioning, you can install a new one in just a few minutes.

Things You'll Need

  • #3157AK replacement bulb (2007 and later models)
  • #3157 replacement bulb (2001 through 2006 models)
  • Screwdriver
  • Shut off your Sebring's engine and engage the emergency break.

  • Open the trunk by using the driver's side trunk release latch or by manually unlocking it.

  • Peel back the trunk liner to expose the wiring connector and taillight housing plastic retainers.

  • Disconnect the wiring connector, loosen the plastic retainers and remove the taillight assembly from the car.

  • Twist the turn signal bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the taillight assembly. Then, pull the malfunctioning bulb straight out of the socket.

  • Insert the replacement bulb directly into the empty socket and then twist the socket back into the taillight assembly.

  • Activate the turn signal to make sure it's working. If it lights up, fasten the trunk lining back into place and close the trunk.
