Answer
Hi Chasen,

Any time you file a hit and run claim, a fire or theft claim, the insurance company always suspect you of fraud. They may require you to sign release forms to allow them to pull your credit reports, bank records or any other financia records. I have never heard of an insurance comapny asking for cell phone & text records records. However you should have called the police when it happened. From now on alwars call the police no matter how small the incident may seem. Since you are making a claim for money, if your insurance company askes for something you pretty much have to give it to them. Otherwise they will deny your claim for noncooperation.

I hope this helps
