Auto Insurance Claims: Auto Injury Teeth Claim, Dallas automotive forensic lab, www.autotheftexpert.com

Question
I was recently in an automobile accident that I was in no way at fault for.
Traffic was moving after a light had turned green. I was rear ended by a truck
behind me and my car was totaled.  Per the police at the scene, and the police
report, they suspect he was under some sort of drug influence. The collision
pushed me into the car in front of me. At some point the airbags deployed in
my car. Even through I was wearing my seatbelt, by face hit the steering
wheel causing damage to my teeth. One of my front top teeth was completely
displaced from the socket, and the other 3 front top teeth were severely
displaced/rotated in the sockets. I also injured my hand (but that turned out
only to be a bad bruise) and was taken to the ER via ambulance due to some
initial back pain. I saw an oral surgeon the same day and my teeth were
splinted back into place. I have been unable to chew food for several weeks
and won’t be able to bite into anything for possibly months. I have also been
told that I’ll probably need several root canals, as well as crown work, since
there is a strong possibility that the injured teeth will die. My dentist has also
informed me that the impact may have also affected my other teeth, and I
may see those problems surface in years to come. I have auto insurance, and
the man who hit me also has insurance. My insurance company has told me
they would only pay the medical bills if the other driver didn’t have
insurance. I’ve spoken with his insurance company and was told they don’t
usually pay bills until the claim has been closed. They also want all my past
dental records. Since this is something I may be dealing with for years to
come, I can’t imagine the claim being closed (or the bills paid) anytime soon.
How do I proceed from here? I want to protect my credit and myself. Do I
need a lawyer? If so, how should I go about finding the right one?

Answer
Hello,

Do not play around with these goofs or speak with them again. Contact a local personal injury attorney. Most work contingency and you don't have to pay unless you win. Keep this in mind too. All your medicals have to be paid at settlement by your share. Your attorney should be able to negotiate them down.
