Auto body repair & detailing: weather stripping / Windshield, rubber molding, arizona weather

Question
Hello !!  Notto Jensen,  I have an older truck that has to be
parked outside in my   driveway. The Arizona Sun is drying out
the rubber around the   windshield, windows, doors etc.  I have
tried spreading thin layer of vaseline  but  it is very messy   and
looks terrible on it.  I have also tried the liquid spray Armour All
product  but  it does   not last and it gets all over the glass and
paint when i try to   apply it to the rubber molding only.    Can
you suggest another product or method for protecting the
rubber molding / wheather stripping from sesvere sun damage.
Any advice is appreciated !!!!    Thanks !!  Ron

Answer
Ron,
You're doing the right thing.  The only thing you could improve on is use maybe some Armour All wipes, or a Meguair's product that is a wipe on.
Get a carport/cover/garage?
I understand that the Arizona weather could really fry a car's finish and trim.
Hang in there!
