Auto body repair & detailing: Fiberglass, racing stripes, paint store

Question
I own a 1993 Fleetwood Flare motor home this model has racing stripes around the entire outside of the vehicle they are starting to crack and chip and I just want them gone.  How do I get rid of these stripes as quickly and as easily as possible?

Your local automotive parts and paint store will have a product called decal and stripe remover. you spray it on and it softens the glue so the stripe can be removed. Follow directions on the can. After stripe or decal has been removed the you will need glue remover. Try a test area first to make sure these chemicals dont hurt your paint. This is of course if your decals are not painted on.
