Car Stereos: 2008 grand cherokee sterio problem, grand cherokee, turn on the radio

hi,i had a strange thing happen today in the jeep. i was driving and the dvd was over so i selected list and tried to push on chapter 1 of the dvd. nothing. the radio screen froze in its last mode which was an incoming call that i ended. the call ended, the stereo stopped working. the car is off and the stereo screen is lit with the last caller info on it. i can not turn it off or eject the dvd or turn on the radio???????????? help i am afraid I'll get a dead battery.

Hi Karen,

It sounds like the system has locked solid.  Usually when you take the key out it should fix itself.  If it doesn't, though, you'll have to disconnect the power from your car's battery, wait 30 seconds, and try again.

It will lose all of your presets, and settings, though.
