Car Stereos: 2005 3.4 Impala radio DIC, stock radio, radio interface

Question
I'd like to install a new stereo in place of the AM/FM/cd stock radio. This radio has the driver information center settings (like resetting the oil change light, FOB alarm chirps/beeps, lights on and out, lock/unlock chirp, etc.) included in the stock radio. Will any replacement radio interface with the computer and still allow access as granted by the stock radio?

I purchased the radio from Crutchfield, and bought the recommended GM harness adapter. Will this allow me to retain the same features as the stock radio, or is it a sacrifice to install the new JVC?

Thanks for any help!

Answer
Hi HornSmoke?.

As far as i know, there is nothing available yet, if you take the factory radio out and change it for a regular aftermarket, you will lose all those functions, the GM harness adapter that you bought its only to retain the door chimes. i personally wouldnt change that radio, unless something catastrophic happens, you know you are replacing a $2,500+ radio for a $200-800 radio, that just doesnt make sense, thats just my opinion.
